PF - What to wear indoors?

Whilst researching as much as I can regarding Plantar fasciitis, one common thing that keeps cropping up is not to wander around the house in bare feet.

The trouble is, I cannot find anything that recommends what to wear for loafing around indoors.

Has anyone been given/or know of anything suitable please

    cheers

I wore ordinary shoes with an "off-the shelf" insert / arch support from Boots which seemed to (eventally) do the trick and guess I wore these indoors as well? A while back so memory a bit vague!

    Trog,

I am now 9 months into PF and can now manage my local Kentmere Hshoe in sub 3hrs comfortably so there is light at the end of the tunnel.
At first I found the most comfortable footwear was good oldfashioned flipflops, not what was recommended but I could hardly walk in ordinary shoes so they did me fine. Once the pain had subsided I moved onto using an old pair of racing flats with new (ordinary) insoles and they gave me the cushioning for the pain and the support to start some degree of healing. Aside from indoor shoes I was given 'blue spot' gel inserts by the work physio and the cushioning was enormous; never went out without them.
Oddly, the worst footwear remains Wellington boots!
Possibly because of the cushioning, once the PF subsided I was left with very tight achilles around the ankle and have really had to work on realigning that.

Recommend racing flats as slippers for PF victims!

    Thanks for the replies guys.

I have now actually started wearing a brand new pair of trainers that I bought a few weeks ago but hadn’t run in them.

My first recorded incident of heel pain was back in October when I raced a road relay in the morning followed by a Cross country race in the afternoon.

For most of the winter I simply ran through it, from what I can recall the pain varied from day to day, however it was always worse when not running. It flared up properly in mid February. By the end of March everything on my left side seemed to have pain (heel, knee, hamstring and hip).

I decided then that I needed to stop running and attempt to get rid of the niggles, so for the last fortnight I have resorted to swimming and cycling.

I have tried a couple of different inserts and insoles but I am not convinced. I have also started more yoga type stretching and self massage.
