Thread: The Dragons Back

I would like to register an interest. Might have to be as support as I seem to have devolved into a fat idle git over the last couple of months, but I am fairly local and interested in the route.

You can all throw me one of Moley's collection of malts as I go past

Sod the breaks then & I'll just run it in one...or die trying!!..

    Re: The Dragons Back

Just returned from 5 hours plodding round the Maen Du & Waun-Oer section. Looking at things. Not the best day as the legs were tired from the start, but during a rather staggering 'bonk' at about 4 hours I suddenly thought.

"This Dragons Back event, is going to be a lot harder in practice, than it is just thinking about it months in advance and plotting enthusiastically".

    How about that for insight.

    Didn't say I couldn't do it .

What you doing up at that time of night? You should be tucked up in bed asleep preparing for the weekend run, don't tell me you are that tough you survive on 3 hours a night !!
I might run Tarren H. next weekend - any of you coming up, could have a chat.

Moley, I was 3 sheets to the wind! Waen Oer eh? One of my favourite spots!
Good suggestion about Tarren Hendre. May try to get up for it. Lets see.

    Re: The Dragons Back

Spent Saturday playing about in the Rhinogs, with the goats

Recceing routes, my only conclusion being - don't go the way I did

What a day, took some photos, but generaly enjoyed the best day of the winter and feeling alive again with some sun on my face. Fantastic.
I'll stick a photo or 2 on here sometime, when I can work out how to do it .

OBW - I may be begging some help in the next month or two, your expertise over the Cnicht and onwards - never been up there and believe you must know it pretty well . Let us know if you are up that way March/April ?
