i am afraid to ask - but - what is hogholing?
You run up really stealthily behind a sheep and simply frighten the life out of it!
If you get an 'expert' hogholer, you can actually grab it from behind and it'll pull you along the hillside. We used to try and do it on the way home from the pub.
Before you ask, no, it does not involve beastiality.
I don't know whether it's an accepted method of getting over the hills in an official FRA race though!
Why walk when you can run.

I had a very encouraging training run today on the hills around Lyme Park - pretty slow as usual on the uphills, but a bit quicker on the downhills, and felt very strong and coped OK with the heat, so feel as well prepared as I could expect for Fairfield...
a gentle recovery run this week (after buttermere) and juggling a few appointments should see me arrive just in time to register and hopefully participate in this one.
I'm loving these lakes runs!

I have "convinced" someone to work my shift on Saturday so, providing he doesn't change his mind, I will be there for this one.
Will def be up for this, ribs and back are runnable. Will be my 3rd race on this route, wonder if there will be visibility this year?? Anyone want a lift or to share a lift going N on M6 drop me a line. CU all there.
