This is on tonight. It should be another warm and humid one. Anyone else going? I'll be recognisable by a fragrant whiff of Avon as the Skin-So-Soft goes about its reputed insect-repellant duties.
This'll be my final cool-down race before the Lakeland 100 on Friday - Sunday.
yep i'll be there. Mrs MarkyMark led me running through a field of nettles last night, so a bit a midgy attack will compliment that quite nicely!
Excellent race this evening, a big turnout and lots of familiar faces as usual. Many thanks to the organisers and marshals for making it all possible. I really do appreciate these local fell races. I'm not the only one, judging by the attendances!
This was my first Goyt's Moss. I'd call it a Shining Tor with knobs on. At 7 miles it joins Cracken Edge as the equal longest evening race I've done.
The midges and flies were at plague proportions. At one point as I ran I looked at my arms to see them thickly covered with midges, while clouds of bigger flies swarmed around our heads even as we ran. Fortunately they weren't biting (much).
MarkyMark, did you survive the midges? I would have said 'ow do if I'd known who you were among the crowd.

Sad to have missed running it again this year.
Was good to see folk enjoying the final run down the rocky track.
Geoff, we must make allowances. It was a humid evening and last year was a record after all.
Tim, good to see you on the track down to the finish. Hope you're back running soon.
Thanks for posting the results H.I.T.
Bit of a gap while I got Lakeland 100 under my belt, but photos just uploaded. Sorry for poor quality but I'm back to my old camera with its contaminated optics after the newer one died on its first moistening during Kinder Trog.
