Hi novice - I'm sure I've seen somewhere else on this forum that anything after two weeks before will be of little additional benefit but I'm sure there are other more experienced forumites who can give a more definitive answer.
I'm not necessarily more experienced, but 2 weeks yeh - you can probably only do harm in the last 2 weeks before a race, but don't stop - taper down.
Ease off with the pace and mileage so that you wrap up your training runs a few days before the race, rather than stopping altogether two weeks before.
