Grok on!
I can't believe my luck, staying with a friend in Alwoodly on Friday night, found this thread (never heard of the race) and discovered it starts about 100m from his house. Entries on the day accepted so that's my Saturday sorted.
No beers Friday night now though :-(
I was gonna run it in road shoes but the forecast is for a wet Sat morning so maybe trail shoes now.
A cracking race as always, with the dry underfoot conditions only slightly counteracted by the breeze. Happy with my time of 55.29 as almost 3 mins faster than last year.
Good to see Behind You's other half well inside the hour too - hope you guys caught your bus ok - yes that was me tooting as I drove by!
Hope you enjoyed it RichK!
Yeah that was a really good race. Lovely route, I really like not knowing the course and taking it as it comes.
Probably the first race since October where I've relaxed and enjoyed it, feel like I'm nearly back to normal.
(Blencathra on Wednesday, not sure I'll be so bullish after that).
