Watched kill list last night. It's a good film but for me it doesn't live upto the hype from the industry types. It certainly lures you in and gets you very interested, but it's one of those fins were the ending leaves you with more questions than answers. Now sometimes I like that, but not in this case and for me this is what stops it from being a great film. The acting and characters are spot on, and some of the scenes build with intensity and the violence certainly makes you wince, especially the hammer scene. I would recommend it to others as long as they don't mind being left slightly confused and wanting more.Next on the watch list are the recently purchased snow town, valkeryie and biutiful.
"That was the night everything changed"
Snowtown for me tonight. Great film telling a horrific true story. Very well acted and shot. certainly lives up to its reviews.
"That was the night everything changed"
Magnificent Seven (on now)
Rabbit-Proof Fence (BBC4 at 9pm)
Scramble the rock face through the glare of morning sun — to run
Avengers released on thursday! Cant wait :w00t:
"That was the night everything changed"
Just watched "The Bridge" on BBC iplayer - maintains the high standard of recent Scandinavian series.
a blatant cash-in on the coat-tails of "The Killing" but very well done nonetheless - I suppose I'll force myself to watch the other 8 episodes... :closed:
meanwhile, after Mag7 yesterday, my appetite is whetted for Kurosawa's Seven Samurai, which will be next up out of my DVD collection
unless my 6 year old daughter mithers me to watch something with her, when I can suggest A Bug's Life
