    Exclamation First time fixie!

    Howdy folks

After a long absence from the saddle, after a lot of umming & ahhhing, took t'plunge & invested in a fixie.
First time out today was a very interesting ride, especially:

    - Coming to a sudden stop.
    - Potholes (standing out of the saddle).
    - Steep downhills................

Now I'm a big believer in spinning/high revs, but anything above 27mph resulted in 140rpm, was like the closing sequence to Benny Hill Show (minus Hill's Angels & minus music!)

Loved it, but had forgotten what a lot of kn0bhead drivers there are on the road. Ran 20miles on road last night too & hated every second of it.
That is why we run off road, I remembered!

Still, the ride got the run out of my legs, now I need to go for a run to get the ride out of my legs!

Wonder if anyone ever did the Fred Whitton on a fixed???
    Pasame la botella...........
