Anyway! Back to the point! I'm interested (maybe!) so what details do you have?

Pilgrim - I suspect we share a similar background although, Merrylegs, I haven't come across the expression "bootneck" before. Can you enlighten me?

From what I've heard Exmoor 30:30 is a "pilgrimmage" with much reduced weight. Apparently got a lot of senior army support....in aid of Legion, ABF, H4H and St John.

30 miles over Dartmoor in 8 hours (7 for Officers) carrying 30lb and a rifle weighing just under 10lbs. And that's after all the other commando tests

My background is non military. The forum name simply comes from Pilgrims Cross... Was running from Holcombe Hill to Bull Hill in a mood that matched the weather and thinking I should join the forum... trying to think of a good name when through the mist & rain appeared Pilgrims Cross.

Looks like a good challenge. I can't commit to anything like that until 2011 as I'm halfway through both a divorce and a PhD. Intend doing the BGR that year and would be well up for doing this later.
