    Churn Milk Chase

This is a new race under FRA regulations and if you missed the calendar update on the main FRA page, you've also missed the race for 2009. It was yesterday.
For information, it was a grand little event, going from the central ring of the Midgley Village Fete. It climbed over cobbles and tarmac to the Calderdale Way, went out to Churn Milk Joan and returned via Crow Hill and ankle-crunching heather moorland.
Thanks to Graham Lloyd of Calder Valley who organised the race. 27 runners graced its inauguration, with Adam Breaks and Claire Hanson setting the records.

Oh, I should have mentioned it's a 'BS' - 3.8 miles and 700' of climb. A nice warm-up for the beer tent (Tim Taylors).
