Did everyone ignore the FRA-required-kit-rule again this year? From the photos it looks that way.

I think I was one of the only ones with full body cover, was glad of the extra clothing at the top!
I suppose road runners aren't used to carrying kit

There never is any kit requirement for the Snowdon race. I marshalled and at the start nothing was mentioned. I think it's up to the race organisers descretion, that also happened at the Northern Ireland British Champs race this year.

The International Snowdon Race (don't know if you meant that one Iain) presumably have their own insurance and rules so can do what they like.

The recent Northern Ireland British Champs race is category AS, so yes, kit would be up to the race organisers discretion.

The uphill only trial race on Snowdon is AM category. FRA rules give race organisers no discretion on these; kit must be carried. However, that race seems to have been organised under the banner of UKA and Welsh Athletics. I would've thought their rules are similar if not identical to FRA for hill/fell/mountain running. After all, it's the same insurance policy.
