    Gold in the hills ?

    found a bit of that green slate rock t'other day in Coniston...it be flecked with gold metal down one side !

    is it Iron pyrites or could this be the first prize I've picked up whilst fell running ?

    anyone know owt about geology ? Cheers

    Yo Tri...........if the flecks are fairly large you'd be a fool not to send it to me for identification

    Did this ever get identified? You're in the right area for gold, granitic rock areas are generally where gold is found but i would guess it was Pyrites being included within another rock.
