A great little race. Straight up and straight down, pretty much. Bit of road to and track to begin and end.

I rang Des Gibbons to arrange for a photographer from the Chronicle to turn up on Sunday, told him I was planning to do the race and he very kindly offered to take me round. I need to explore the area a bit more though so if you're up for a post-work run around Old Glossop let me know.

May do, but am planning on Castleton and Wincle on Friday and Saturday. Will have to see if 3 in 3 days is too much and if I can get an extra pass from SWMBO

Bit of a mix, really. Tracks, paths, tussocks, rocks. It's one of Des's races, so it's obviously a little belter - one not to be missed.

If you're out tonight, Tim, I'll show you the route on the map.
