    Gr10

    Hello

Im thinking about 'doing' the GR10, but think it can be done in less than the 50 odd days the guide book recommends(!) But I have no idea how much less. Does anyone have any ideas of a 'fast' crossing time or has anyone done it?

I kind of need to know how much AL to book, and if I really want to do it!!

    Any experience/stories/useful websites gratefully received.

    Helen

Looks like a great adventure. Don't like trying to get that time off work though, even if, as you suspect, it could be done faster!

    Re: Gr10

Ive just had a little chat with my boss who has no objections to the time off... gulp.

(HAN - I can book 24 or 28 days off in a row, provisionally from 28/08 to 20/09 or 25/09 it just depends on if I think I can do AT LEAST two of the recommended days in the space of one, every day, day after day, for three weeks.... the 24 day option makes it a little tight)

    Food for thought.

It was food for thought... until I realised you are planning to do it this September, which is totally impossible for me as regards to taking time off...

And yes, I reckon you can be twice as fast as the recommended walking time, so it is feasible in my opinion...

We took 9 days travelling light. Early season we had no problem staying at huts and the food is excellent. There was a fair bit of snow in the Cirque de la solitude, but it suited us to bypass it and bag Mte Cinto instead ChrisU is your GR20 expert ...
