Might be tempted by this new race en route home from West Wales to Leeds on 28th - any Macc Harriers out there who can advise on the route (ie would it be suitable for trail shoes?)
cheers

I too should be doing this one. Apparently it goes "up and down Tegg's Nose Country Park, 2.30 p.m. 2.85m/650' from Langley playing field (GR SJ942717)".
Unless there's a downpour before the weekend, I reckon trail shoes (or even road shoes) would be fine.
Any more local knowledge? A route map would be great
The organiser posted this on our (Macc Harriers) website. No mention of a route map, but it can't be too difficult
I hope some of you might want to take part in the new Langley fete run on Sunday 28th June. Entry is on the day (from 1pm), it is 2.85 miles up, round and down Tegg's Nose Uyou'll know the route!), starts at 2.30pm. Parking is limited in the village (you cannot park on the fete field), so I would allow plenty of time.
I am also looking for volunteers to help marshall round the course and at the start/finish. Could you get in touch if you are able to help?

You can enjoy the fete before and after - there is a beer tent, bbq, lots of stalls, cakes, bouncy castle etc.!
Thanks to everyone involved - I really enjoyed this race. Lets hope a few more turn up next year.
Unfortunately didn't make it on two counts - suffering from a bit of achilles tendinitis this past 3 weeks and also got timing wrong from Machynlleth to Macc area
Some photos up on the Macc gallery....
