He's on about Hugh Symonds round of all the 3000ers, so it was all the 3000ers not the 2000ers, in 3 months (83 days), not 3 weeks.

The facts on that forum may be wrong.

Hugh Symonds made the first continuous travers of the 303 mountains of Britain and Ireland between 19 April 1990 and 25 July. A distance of 2,048, approx. 500,000 ft of ascent in a time of 96 days 23 hours.

Information from his book "Running High". ISBN 0948403918.

The firstr edition of this book is scarce but a second paperback edition ahs been issued and is still available here.

Hugh Symonds is Head of Mathematics at Sedbergh School.
His son has run for England in international fell races.
