    South wales Traverse

Thought I'd mention on the forum that Hugh Aggleton got round the south wales traverse in a time of 17 hrs 49 mins - excellent effort.

Does anyone know how this ranks in the top 10 times - must be fairly up there. Also he is a young pup so might be the fastest young-un's time as well.

Brilliant time young Hugh!! Dredging the memory banks seems to suggest about 16 hours by Gut-Bucket Belton and 15 hours by Mark Hartell. But I'm sure someone will be along with the correct time soon.

    Ah! The following from Wikipedia:

The fastest known crossing of the Traverse was by Mark Hartell in 1993. He completed the distance in 14 hours 42 minutes[1].

    That's a bit quick !!

Prior to Mark H the record was held by Martin Stone.

Make sure he registers it with Derek Fisher ([email protected]) who can probably tell you how it ranks as well. Great run by Hugh. Lots more to go at on http://www.gofar.org.uk
