    Knoydart 7 Round

Inspired by adventures recounted on this forum ("Knoydart Superridge" thread), I decided that I'd like to attempt the 7 Knoydart munros in one go as part of a round starting and finishing at Inverie (c.39 miles and c.17,000ft). So, last Friday, (29th May), solo, unsupported and on-sight, I departed from the entrance to Inverie House at 3.45am and arrived back 15h34m later having completed all 7 munros. This is a great round in a fabulous setting: less extreme than John Fleetwood's round and less logistics than Rab's linear route.

    Details are as follows:

    Inverie (Inverie House) 0
    Ladhar Bheinn 1h56m
    Luinne Bheinn 3h46m
    Meall Buidhe 4h55m
    Sgurr na Ciche 7h20m
    Garbh Chioch Mhor 7h51m
    Sgurr nan Coireachan 8h38m
    Sgurr Mor 9h59m
    Sourlies 13h20m
    Mam Meadail 14h29m
    Inverie (Inverie House) 15h34m

I'd recommend this round as a reasonbly manageable, excellent day out for anyone interested in quite a tough little wilderness adventure. The return journey from Sgurr Mor to Inverie can actually be done a fair bit more quickly if you don't stop to bask in the sunshine and admire the views like I did! Photos and write up to follow...

I've been looking at something like this for next spring. Look forward to hearing it and seeing the route.

Good effort on a pure style

Excellent route shughoppy. Sounds like a great route for later in the year or next spring. You can rest assured I'll be getting the Knoydart map out later!

    EXCELLENT

Not been to Knoydart for absolutely years and when I was last there I had not discovered fell running yet, so must re-visit!

This explains all the Walsh prints while I was there the following week bagging (sorry collecting) Corbetts
This isn't being small minded - you have done a fantastic round - but isn't Gairich counted as a Knoydart Munro??
