BOFRA have a lot of races for under 9s
Don't know about junior races in the Peaks though

6 years of age min i think but a lot of organisers like encouraging nyounger runners and let them run unofficially.

Some races over Todmorden and Calder Valley as well.
The calder valley ones are well organised with nice medals but i think the hardest race for under 8s is at saddleworth.

Link to FRA Rules. Rule 10 lists the maximum distances for each age group - minimum age 6 on the day (for insurance purposes). This will give an idea of what 'junior novice' is thought to be capable of. Follow Brett's link for a list of races.

Chrome Hill this weekend is a cracking day out (so I'm told) senior and junior races.
