I am sure you'll find something on the Macc Harriers site Daz.

    Never done it before myself.

Forest 5 is on there again as well

there are no route details on the Macc Harriers site
not really a problem, but I am a bit of a "map geek" and like to muse over routes in advance...

Macc Forest 5... aahhhh! my fave race ever - one of the few "nail on" dates in my calendar every year

and in between there's Shining Tor! and Gravy 6! gosh I love July!

    Thanks for that Grough!

    Looks an ace route!

I especially like the fact that it takes in the "mythical" Turner's Pool

    Mythical?

Below the rocky escarpment known as the Roaches which is found in the Staffordshire Moorlands, can be found a man made pool known as Turner's pool, which seems to be a corruption of its original name of Thornehurst's Pole. It is mentioned in a royal grant by King Henry VIII, to W.M. Trafford in A.D. 1534, and it is thought to have been constructed by the monks of nearby Dieulacres Abbey.

    Splendid race last night
excellent organisation and a lovely course - nothing particularly steep/technical, all nicely runnable
massive turnout from Wilmslow and Congleton
Damian Nichols, Rob Downs, Malcolm Fowler 1-2-3 - they must get sick of the sight of each other!

rain started just after start (just how I like it!) and I had one of my rare "good runs" where I felt vaguely like I knew what I was doing

    burger + pint afterwards
