looks a decent race, so i'll give it a go, providing I get over my knee injury. I'm glad the mid-week racing has started again; miss it during the winter!

Richard lives in the Loxley valley if you live in that area. Possible Drinks in Ladybowyer afterwards

Don't forget to set off really fast and keep hammering it on all the runnable bits, there's only a little hill at the end, nothing to worry about.

Yes, thats what I'd heard. If I don't get round in fifteen minutes I'll be very disappointed

Ian, been suffering a bit with mild Achilles Tendonitis so I've eased off the training, consequently not been up to Sportsman or Strines yet. Sent Richard a cheque though and asked him to post a vest out so hopefully will be sporting the colours next week .

First 'serious' run since a bit of achilles rehab, and also with the new and untested heel inserts so it could all end in tears but hey ho. If you spot a middle-aged Dark Peaker halfway up the last hill on his back and sobbing uncontrollably then don't forget to say hello...

I'll be there, either running or watching, depending on whether the Ibuprofen has kicked in. This race is just a week before my ankle operation, so there shouldn't be a problem!

Hopefully my brown vest will be on show.
I will be coming from Wadsley and happy to car share or at the very least willing to sample a tipple at the Ladybower!!
Good luck with the achilles and it really is just a small hill!!!!

The course was drying out nicely in many places yesterday, but still boggy in the lower field sections near Simmondley.

Take care going over the stiles, especially that last big one before the steep final descent down the heathery slope.

Even just walking up the second climb yesterday was hard work, looking back you see the ground falling away behind, and realise how steep it actually is!

Have a good run everyone - see you on Wednesday!

    Werdna.
