A junior mountain running championship would be nice. As a british championship. At the places like ben nevis etc. But on the race distances you have to think of the runners at the back aswell, because 10mile for them is a long way.

The other thing is that we cant critiscise organisers as much as some of us do. As they are the minority that actively keep junior racing going. So we should be happy with what we have got and anything else is a bonus

Im generally near to the back nor middle and 10 mile is pretty easy if you train properly. TBH you can do a half marathon at 17. And some LDWA events at 14 and above

Agreed, but i think the juniors need more of a say into what happens for the junior championship races

just cut the mile of road at the start and finish to make it 8miles remembering that four of those miles will be down hill of 4500ft or just have it as a uphill race 4 mile 4000ft or something
I ran and ran until my Muscles burned and my veins pumped battery acid, ....And then i ran some more.

Yep. Id agree there. For instance i may create some controversy here but 6 races in 6 counties bad idea. Who can get to Cleveland easily if they are further south than Preston

I emailed the junior coordinator but no response. Its a bit rubbish he never comes on the forums as he can then actually hear our views
