I think I upset one or two people whilst overtaking but trying to keep track of Rob ahead of me in a sea of blue waterproofs, whilst out of breath and trying shout warnings, be polite and say 'excuse me' etc., watch my footing and run in the right direction all at the same time was a challenge. I just hoped they got over it.
I didn't bother shouting as I was trying to breath.
Only remember banging into one person and we both said sorry at the same time
I "may" have barged through one or two people who decided to stop on the path and look at their maps mind
Were you one of the little group who visited the sheepfold on the B course (near our day 2 no 6) ? I got lazy because I was sure that I was following some other A teams - trouble is we were all going the wrong way.
I think we were part of that group as well and we overshot no 4
I do wonder what happened to the guys who ran off at 90 degrees to the direction of no 4 mind
we overshot 4 by 100m or so but fortunately pulled it back without too much time lost. Just seen we were 13th in the vets class...well chuffed with that for a first attempt!
