Fortunately the boss and her deputy are both off sick with swine flu ( believe that and you will believe anything !! ) just idle buggers the pair of them.
I need a job where I'm not bored senseless all day.
Get out training tonight and hopefully wake myself up a bit !

No bosses? Set the alarm on your phone for lunch, and go back to sleep! Or nip out to a charity shop and get a book.

I work from home a lot and frequently find diversionary activities like this to do, however as my work (which I mainly set) more than fills my allotted hours, I end working hours all over the place to ensure its finished so ultimately there is no skiving for me unfortunately.

Providing deadlines and outcomes are met, work is extremely flexible.

Eight hours sleep a day would make for a good day at work.

I have, then again, I am my own boss to a major extent and as long as the work gets done, I can have a nap if I feel I need one. Usually I am much more productive after a little sleep, if I happen to be tired.

Worst moment was being caught out having a quick nap when still in the gallery in London... By a visitor!

I'd have thought that posting threads on this forum would keep you too busy to have 40 winks?

Re: Falling Asleep at work !

With my uni course there are a few compulsary lectures about really boring stuff - aka Economics.

The lecture just used to jamble on and we'd all usually just end up entertaining each other, telling random storys or even twiddling your fingers became enjoyable.

A combination of my body clock not letting me get to sleep till about 4am meant that getting up at 6:30 each day was taking its tole on me.

The one lecture, if got the "eyes becoming really heavy" feeling which i used to get alot, but i couldnt fight it....and slept through the entire lecture!

Everyone spoke to me afterwards commenting about me being alseep for the whole thing and not moving once....it was the best nap ever!...woke up feeling so fresh.

No idea if the lecture spotted me, but i was sat right in the middle, about 5 rows back.
