I'm following to the letter all the instructions the Doc gave me.

Needed to take the pain killers again. Its still sore.

How are you Stagger? I'm off to see physio now. Told them before my op that I was a fellrunner (didn't understand what that meant!) and physio said that if I wanted to get back to running, they'd provide me with a course of physio. Good old NHS! So today's the first session. Have been religiously doing exercises so far. Knee still painful. I'm reluctant to test it out too much in case I make it worse. That loss of confidence again, I think. Let's see what physio says.

How did the physio go Pete?
No such luck for me with our NHS unless I pay

I went for a walk, just 2 lamposts out and the same 2 back.
Felt OK, a little sore now though.

    A little and often

    4 sets of exercises
    and
    3 lamposts out and back

Remove cottonwool and bandage as instructed on 3rd day.

    Iced and rest with elevation.

    Looking reasonable.

Quarter of a mile to post box and back. A couple of sharp intakes of breath and a painful grumble occured on my trip out.

Mrs Stagger won't let me rest.

Booked in to see my own physio on Wednesday.

    How are you progressing Pete?

Back at work. Walking just with one crutch. Have got up to about mile with a slope! Knee still stiff and feels 'tight' and bruised. Have appt with physio in gym at hospital on Weds. Sometimes feel optimistic, other times worried it hasn't worked.

Your an inspriation Pete. I did a very steady mile today with a gentle slope.

You must have a generous local NHS No crutch's in Calderdale and no physio until I have seen the Doc on the 12th October. (having to pay to see my own physio)

Be optimistic Pete it will have been a complete sucess, just time and stretch's now.

I had a visit from Doctor Merrylegs this teatime who gave it an nod of approval and thought it was a neat job
