    Pilsley (Chat) FR 2009

Ai'reet lovely 'fell' race (less fell but very nice trails they have round the grounds). Though a worrying note from the organiser in the calendar...

No toilets. No safety pins. Please park at Chatsworth Farm Shop or "Penrose Interior Design" to avoid clogging the village. 10th anniversary race and the last unless another organiser found! Details: Zoe Wareham, 1 South View, Pilsley, Bakewell, DE45 1UG. Tel: 01246 583432. Email: [email protected]

Is that the one that goes 'down and then up' rather than 'up then down'. Nice little race, don't worry about the parking!

Fast start, down and then a few bits of up if my legs remember rightly. I always think what a lot of rooms to clean...

There was a good turnout last night, it was a nice evening for it. Thanks to the organisers as always; I think this is one of my favourites (despite the lack of opportunities for having a sneaky walk for a few paces!)

Despite not being a 'real' fell race, it's still a tough litle one isn't it? Very fast, especially down to and along the river, with a tough last mile and half with that hill and then the tussocks on the golf course!

Great event and scenery, I add my thanks for all those involved in organising this over the last 10 years (though last year was my first visit) and hope someone is able to take it on for next year.
