Driving home just now I found myself listening to the last Radio 1 broadcast by Steve Lamacq.
Wonder how much longer it will be before Radio 1 is just a home for faceless talentless presenters with no interest in anything that wasn't manufactured on X Factor / Pop Idol type dross?
Much like with the death of John Peel, it's a sad day for real music.

Radio 1 hasn't been the same since the likes of Steve Wright ('in the afternoon'), (ooh) Gary Davies (on my radio), Simon 'our tune' Bates, Mike 'I will NOT play that record' & Janice Long departed.Originally Posted by dominion
