    Junior champs 2010?

Where will they be? or where do you want them to be? Just suggestions for the selectors to consider.

high rigg, ambleside, shutlingsloe, AW or maybe a new race burnsall would be ideal
I ran and ran until my Muscles burned and my veins pumped battery acid, ....And then i ran some more.

One thing you have to consider is that Lecky's long term plan is to give each venue three years (ish).
It's not easy to put on an FRA race and sometimes a host club takes it on, makes a few errors and doesn't get another chance.

A good example of Lecky's policy working is Shuttlingsloe, which I think most would agree was much better this year.

So don't expect wholesale change - perhaps 3 or 4 of the races will stay for next year.

If I could add a new one, I would put one in at Sedbergh or Pendle. Perfect fell running to suit everyone.

much agreed that shutlingsloe was great this year, sedbergh and pendle would make great places pendle has great potential as the courses that have been there before have been quite flat may be use the middle of pendle or the big end

i think that the 6 races should be as follows:

    1. anniversary wa!

    2. coiners

    3. shutlingsloe

    4. harry aspinall stacksteads fair

    5. burnsall classic or grassmere

    6. lantern pike

    uphill champs. ilkley

all these race contain different aspects of running. Some are short and steep and some are longer. They also contain some races that have already been run as english championship races.

Grasmere cant be run under FRA as they are u17's not u16 and u18 age group.

As CCR pointed out to me the waltz has 0.8 miles of road so for the u/12s thats 2/3 of the race.
    For me its

The Waltz (even though it has a bit of road)
    Coiners
    Saddleworth
    Sedbergh or somewhere Lakeland
    Ingleborough
    Burnsall.
Trying to plod up hills every day slightly faster than the day before
