    Dave Clarke

    just seen the sad news on the Wesham web site that Dave Clarke (who does results for a huge number of races in the north west) has died.
    I'm having an old friend for dinner

    Very sad, he will be missed. He was also permit officer for Lancashire. He was due to do results for last weekends Coniston 14.
    He fell through his garage roof whilst repairing it last wednesday and died at the weekend.

    God that's awful - was he very old? Not that it matters but ... best wishes to family and friends.

    How sad, he gave a lot to the sport and his UKRoadRaces.net website was/is an excellent site. He will be very sadly missed.

    It was announced (his death) just before the gun at Coniston and we all gave a lengthy round of applause for him. Although I didnt know him personallly, I saw him at dozens of races, usually in the Preston/Garstang area. He gave a great deal of his time to race organisation and results serice and to the website.

    Dave Clarke was 52 years old, and will be sorely missed throughout the North West.
