    Langdale Horseshoe Recce.

After having to pack in out attempt to reccy the route on saturday with the bad visability and pretty naff weather i really need to go round this again so i atleast have half an idea where im going.

If anybody fancies either running with me and try and suss out the route as we go along, or if someone knows it and wouldnt mind showing me the way, anything is brilliant!

Im free these days of september until im back to uni. -
    Friday 4th
    Monday 7th
    Tuesday 8th
    Thursday 10th
    Saturday 12th
    Sunday 13th.

If nobody fancies it i'll be going up myself one if these days and try and hack my way round.

We made it somewhere around rossett pike so if time/distance etc was an issue we could run straight up the valley from ODG and climb up to Rossett because i dont know any of it from there.

    The more the merrier.
Im 2 miles off J29 of the M6 and im afriad i'll be needing a lift.
Or, if you dont pass by the M6 i can catch the train to windermere.
I think theres a slight issue with the train times on a sunday, but during the week and Saturday I think they are very regular so i could probably get there for whenever.

    Ta.

Come on....surely somebody wants to/needs to reccy Langdale with me!

    Failing that.

    1. Do you think the Old Dungeon Ghyll pub will look after my bag full of non-running things whilst i go for the reccy and promise i'll buy some soup when im back?

    2. If anybody has any bearings of the route i'd be very grateful.

Have you got the race map? It tells you exactly where to go...

I would happily show you the route, however, I don't see how I can find the time to go up to the Lakes from here to do so between now and the race

I do indeed, a very kind dutch lady set it me many many months ago.

    Cheers anyway Han.

Im thinking of maybe going up friday depending on the weather...dont fancy another reccy in non-existant visability.

Then we re-tried on sunday where me, robyn and roger, lins mark and gordan went but we had to come down before we got to Angle Tarn.

Im free sunday 13th september Em....sound any good?

but it's maybe the most useful thing you can do is recce in bad weather, isn't it? then the race will hold no worries

and great navigation practice as you're not in a hurry like in a race
