    It's local, early start, might be a worth a (road) blast. Free hat as well! Anyone else?

    Road? You know the stuff, bit like cinder toffee but you can run on it....

    "Road" is a loose term, I train on the circuit on the bike, hardly fit to call a road - cobbles are smoother. think there is a about half a mile of good road on the whole 7 mile lap.

    Upon reading the course info again I see that there is scant information about the terrain underfoot....

    But that describes most of the roads in Kirklees!
    I shan't be running but will probably get my usual marshalling job at the top of the climb past the fire station.
