Great photos - showing me tumbling down the rocks just seconds before missing the right turn off the ridge and following white arrows in the wrong direction. I new it was wrong and managed to u turn and get back on track loosing about 3 minutes.

Great route Rick , fantastic area with brilliant views. I will be back again for this one

The best set of pics I've seen for a while - the runners framed by the rocks behind is really effective. Many thanks.

Excellent pics as usual, Al. I thought I was being all aggressive and coming down pretty fast (for me) but I look quite composed!

Beasty1711 - if you need to learn how to descend, I need to learn how to run full stop - b****y first timer, you beat me by nearly 20 minutes!

Thanks to Rick and all his team - that race takes a lot of marking and marshalling not to mention organising the results and refreshments, and the 120 odd runners (almost) all seemed to enjoy it a lot. Lovely route.

It's actually quite a fast way of descending and takes the weight off the legs for a short while. Luckily I just got a few bumps and cuts. Don't know if there's a cure for clumsyness. Great race though. Can't get much more varied terrain wise. Al - you're a legend!

I had a good tumble in the same race two years ago. I wish someone had video'd it. Coming down from Rodneys pillar I didn't know it suddenly goes alot steeper. So I flew down then the ground disapeared beneath me. Some how ended up doing a sort of commando role and finished back on my feet running again as people around me were gasping in horror. Didn't even get a scratch ! Lucky me.
    Glad you're ok wanderer.

Brilliant race today, managed to run the course as advertised unlike two years ago. And congratulations to Rick and the team for a great afterrace assembly at the hut at the finish - liked the Samosas! And what efficiency - the results are there already - well done!

Great race. Mind you, the drive down from Shap after a skinful last night didn't make it easier.
