I think the confusion might be that the reference to results were from last year. If you skim read the thread it appears as though the reference to results is for this year.

I'm afraid I can't help you with the results, but the race was only yesterday. Not all race organisers are fortunate enough to have their own lackey I guess.

Yes, I was confused by the 2010 post about results on the same thread, my mistake in my haste to get results for the local rag.
I can see how my post may have been misread as an impatient prompt for this year's results but as a results lackey myself I wouldn't have done that.
