    Squat
Squat thrust into press up position
Press up with handclap (handclap optional)
    Back to squat
Jump up with tuck (as per a plyometric squat to tuck jump)

    That's twisted!!!!

I always thought a Burpee was just the squat thrust into a jump.... when a press-up was added we use to call them Bastards.

As part of pre-season rugby training we use to do a drill where you'd do 5 burpees (no press-ups), sprint the length of the pitch then jog back. Then 10 burpees sprint to opposition 22. 15 burpees sprint to opposition 10m line. 20 burpees sprint to halfway. 25 burpees sprint to your 10m line and 30 burpees and then sprint to your 22. Vomiting and folks' legs collapsing under them were pretty common! Oh, and if the whole squad didn't finish in a set time we'd have to start from the beginning.

That sounds like a quality session Nikalas!

In my defence Emms, I can do more burpees without the tuck jump (30+), but I've only just started plyometric work, and that jump is a killer.

Still, from tiny acorn, mighty oak tree grow...'cept I can't bring myself to do day 1 of the programme.

    Tomorrow morning. Honest.

Shame I've got no gymastic rings

There's no site for this. I'm just applying the same progression as on the hundred press ups one (http://hundredpushups.com).

So, do a max test, fnd out your starting point, then work through the days/weeks as you did for the presses. Don't stop 'til you hit 100!

    Re: 100 Burpee Challenge

    Started this proper this week:

    Wk 1, Day 1, Col 3
    10/12/7/7/max 9

Forgot last one was a min target and stopped at 9. Could have probably cracked another 2-5 out.

    SS: one-legged burpees last night - (10 on each leg + 400m sprint) x 4.

    Ouch.
