    100s independent yesterday

Good article with extracts from Julie Welch`s book `out on your Feet` in the independent yesterday can be read here :-

Interesting to note that BOYD MILLEN gets a mention ( double BOB GRAHAM back to back )

Not sure if it belong s here but all the emotions described i can relate too when covering long distances, whether running or walking them.

    That is absolutely brilliant

Having done 12 of the LDWA Hundreds I can relate to much of what she says. And the question I can't answer is, why do I keep going back ??

Oh well, it's Scotland next year.

It was mentioned a few days ago here

Remember her comment about fell runners:
Julie Welch: "You hate this sport. HATE it. The most pointless activity known to man. No money in it. No glory. Nobody writes about it in the papers. You don?t get a goody bag full of freebies like in big-city marathons. It's not like fell running, all romantic dash and glamour.

What a great read! Thanks for posting that. I can SO identify with so many of the emotions and sentiments expressed.
