Thing is , if you wait till just before 1000 posts , even if you delete the thread , won't he still have the posts required for mastery ?

Not voting on this one, as I don't want to influence the outcome. I did just vote Master Maker a five star thread though, bringing it up from one to two stars overall. Silliest thread for a long time, & I'm all in favour of that. He was on the case again this morning & he's past 600 now.
