    Xmas List 2009

Did think about putting this under Equipment but thought it'd soon move away from sensible talk of fell-running kit.

I'm beginning to spend my birthday/Xmas money already (in my head anyway), and was just wondering what you good forumites were looking for for Xmas.

I've already got my rucksack sorted (OMM Adventure Light).

Probably need a new pair of shoes. Don't know whether to get my Fell Dancers resoled (if poss) and use these for hardcore fell and get a more intermediate shoe; or go for a new pair of Walshes/Mudclaws.

Looking at some proper full-body cover. Was looking at the Kamleika but tried on the Haglofs Oz on Saturday (pricey but nicey!). As for the trousers found a great pair of Lowe Alpines with full lenth zip down the legs (can 'walk' into them) for £56 instead of £80. Or do I go for a cheap £15-20 pair of pac-a-mac type trousers?

Then with some of my spends I'm gonna get myself on the FRA Nav course, and book myself into some of the more popular pre-entry events (grrr, don't get me started!), or the more expensive events (e.g. the MMs).

    What's on your lists?

I would really like one of those Garmin watches like you have SS, but my parents have a strict limit on spending at xmas, and it's abit out of my price range, so I'll have to save up for one.

Other than that, I need alot of kit as I'm new to the sport, need a bumbag/running pack, waterproof trousers (cuurently borrowed), my own compass (currently borrowed), and a whistle.

Other than that, lashings of good luck to stay injury free.

I know it's a lot to ask for and would be more than happy with two or even just one of the nice items on my list

Am I getting old and grumpy? I really can't be bothered with Christmas!

So one post is all it took for this to swing away from sensible fell running type things. I knew it. Call this a fell-runners' forum...?

Possibly. I wouldn't give a monkeys other than the fact I would never get the opportunity to get a load of goodies like I'm looking at at any other point in the year (would struggle to get even one of them!)).

Well that doesn't count then does it, as that was clearly too early for Xmas.

    Easily pleased, aren't you?

I don't know wether to ask for a hope vision head torch or not?? To be honest I just don't ask for anything or even drop not so subtle hints as the likelihood of me getting an electric toothbrush instead is far too probable
