Wink If you break a sheet of glass

Do you put it in the normal bin, the bottles/cans bin......or do you just sling it over next doors fence?

Probably not in the cans Should be okay in the bottles. Most break when you throw them in as hard as you can to get that, oh so satisfying, sound

Not sure you can recycle it in the home bin...it's a danger to the people collecting. I'd wrap it in newspaper, take it to the bottle bank and drop it in in pieces.

Well Noel......I have since discovered the following

    green bin = garden waste
    beige bin = cardboard/paper
purple bin = bottles and tins
    grey bin = general.

therefore the glass went in my purple one.

I didn't forget to fill out a risk assessment/method statement before handling the glass, plus i made sure that the relevant signs were on display informing others of the broken glass.

And Noel if you are reading this reply i must point out that i require you to wear a hard hat
