    Plantar Fibroma

Has anyone had any dealings / experience of this condition?

I have a largish lump on my arch which, after ultra sound today, has been diagnosed as a Plantar Fibroma.

At present it does not hurt. Well only slightly when you touch it and never hurts when I walk or run on it.

I thought it would be a relatively straightforward procedure to remove it. But alas, after googling it just now, it seems a lot more complicated and even if it can be removed will often return.

I will be returning to the GP next week to discuss the options.

Sorry, but I think it's a bit of a rarity. What was the upshot of your return trip to your GP? I'm guessing if it isn't causing any problem then it's best left alone. Of course if it gets bigger then that may change.

My appointment is next Monday. Will see what he says but obviously am erring on the side of caution and like you say it is probably best left alone!
