I have been seeing a sports therapist for a month to try to iron out some niggles with hamstrings and my achilles. I learned something very helpful about why these injuries keep flairing up. As I had problems with the ham's and the achillies, kept working/stretching/massaging the problem area. What I now understand, is that the tightness is due to the "pull" of the quads (in the case of the hams) and the tibial muscles (the shin muscles) - in the case of the achillies. By icing the injuries and stretching the quds/tibial's, I am now nolonger ham-strung and my right achillies is easier than it has been for years. The sports therapist reccons this is all about bows and arrow or some such analogy. Anyone else have similar experiences?
