    Snow!

Looking out the window (more accurate than the Met Office), God's dandruff is going to make a Tanky's recce interesting. Is it snowing where you are?

    Re: Snow!

Could be interesting.... No sign of snow out of my window (looks over Bradfield) but I'm taking some Londoners walking over Edale moor and possibly to Kinder Downfall later so should make for an interesting day!

Trying to snow here in Glossop as well, low hills nearby are starting to look a little white, so up on Bleaklow and Kinder should be a good covering - take care

The Lakes mountains have snow down to around 1500', some interesting route choices where paths have been washed away, there are a few paths that have had to be closed, mostly in the NW lakes.
    A circular route mostly downhill

The Shipman Knotts climb on the way up Kentmere Pike was exciting this morning - wet snow on saturated turf. It was one step up then slide back the same distance - really tiring. I got as far as Harter Fell and turned back as Nan Bield looked lethal. We could do with a few hard freezes to get a bit of consolidation. Let's be careful out there!

Kinder/Edale Moor was lovely. Saw a few folks who were practicing for Tankys up there too, if a walker in a bright orange jacket asked if you were on the Tankys route, then hello again!

I think pigs will begin to fly across the Atlantic before we get snow in Preston!

Some nice drifts up Black Hill. It made you appreciate the warmth of the bogs.

we set off to do Coniston Old Man summit this morning, but after climbing up to the ridge between Coniston and Swirl How from the Levens side, horizontal sleet n snow forced us to descend back via Goats water without summiting.......was literally crawling on the ridge to stop getting blown off, scary stuff.
