Danbert & everybody else
I often think that my best running days are behind me just as I'm starting but nowadays I try to have a philosphical or laid back approach to races & times as I seem to be suffering from 1 niggle or another constantly - just go out & enjoy it.
Manhar.... In terms of chasing PB's and all the injuries caused by road running, i know my best running days are definitely behind me. But if i'm honest i don't care about that any more.
I think i've sort of evolved. I started off as an exerciser working towards getting in shape, moved to being a racer training to improve times (though nobody except me really cared if i ran 38:27 or 43:27 for a 10k) to what i am now, which is just a runner who runs just to be running.
The difference now though is that i only run over quiet canal towpaths, windswept moors, high mountain passes, pine needle forest trails and undulating coastal cliffs and i now say bollocks to 10k's on concrete.

MAGIC!
TO be moving and out there...........
You were moving OK last night at the Tandle Hill Trot Danbert, and a spot prize to boot. Hope to see your smiling face at Crowden on Sunday.
