I'd say fell shoes. Been down to this one for the last four or five years - its becoming an annual pilgrimage! Watched it the year it was a championship race cos I was injured, but the walk helped me suss out where I'd run before in the mist (can be a bugger when theres only 50/60 running and you lose touch with the runners in front).
I'll be there hoping for a clear day.

Cor, if only! This fell running lark is so popular I can't think of many races with sub 100 contenders nowadays.

There were only 59 finishers last year - was quite misty and navigation was a bit tricky. Got it right last year despite losing touch with the runners in front. Another member of my club simply followed the guy in front with the result that both of them got lost and finished last!

Any news? How were conditions? Who won? Who got lost?
I've just decided I don't trust you anymore.

Tim Higginbottom and Jackie Lee! Great Race with great organisation - seemed to be more marshalls than last year especially at the crucial points which together with the clear weather meant I didn't go wrong this time. Good turnout which included Mr US Postal Cycling Shirt!!!

Yes, i agee, very well organised. Had lots of marshalls pointing out directions on the trickier parts so when there wasn't any runner in front then the way was clear. Mind you, never easy being an English "comer in" - most of the officials I passed all said (I presume?) "good luck" in welsh!

Perfect conditions and spectacular views across Snowdonia. My first welsh race and already would love to run it again.

Just a thought - does anybody know where the results will be published online? Would it be on the Ffestiniog web site?
