I'm aiming to be there as a Fell Pony. If tomorrow is like the last couple of days, it'll be vest and sunscreen. About time too!

    Ooh! Ooh! I love pedantry!

So here I'm looking at my map of the route for tomorrow (and feeling slightly scared) and on my 1:25000 it has Guisborough Woods, but, Gisborough Moor! (singular, just the one moor).

This is getting complicated. Should apostrophes be involved here? Should I have my tea and go to bed?

Sorry to be equally pedantic, but isn't 8.52 a bit late for tea? And a bit early for bed?

Good point about the singularity of Gisborough Moor though. I've done the race before and never seen more than one.

Had a bit of a struggle and finished about 8 mins slower than last year.
Beautiful weather though, and stunning views, which I had all the more time to admire.
A following wind up Roseberry Topping was an unexpected bonus.

Saw a few forumites, but perhaps not as many of the Usual Suspects as anticipated.

I was some 20 minutes behind where I would have expected to be had I been fully fit.

But after a year in the wilderness training wise through various reasons, I was happy to get around in one piece.

Had I not, I suspect I might have retired and taken up golf

Race photos are available here: http://kath22.fotopic.net/c1836163.html

Freckle: We were obviously close at the start; I too was at the back near the man with the dog.

Looking at the photos there were only a dozen or so behind me at the top of the road.
