    Ochils? Clackmanancestershire

    Hello Peeps,
Anyone got a fav route up this range of hills?
Currently working near Alva and the Ochils form a stunning backdrop to the work site. I can feel a run coming on in the New Year. Not being a local I don't have any experience and none of my work colleagues have much of an idea.

    Can anyone help?

Alva is host to one of the best Highland Games there is.

It is also home to the British Hill Championship which goes up Torry and back. It is one of the classic fell races.

There are plenty of spots along the bottom of the hills to park and get access. You can park towards the Wallace Monument and head off up steadier climbs, or park at Alva or Tillicoutry and head straight up. You'll certainly get chance to practice your race-walking.

There is certainly no shortage of hills to run. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for the details HHH. I also spoke to one of the local guys i'm working with, turnso out that he used to train up in the hills all the time 20years ago and is going to dig out some maps and routes. Hoping to get up 'em in the NY

    Cheers,
    SP
