Yes I knew that Swoop as I had been watching the match on Sky. I just meant through to winning the match. However I was incorrect in my earlier post as I thought if Sri Lanka won then they would head the group because they had the same points as England but had beaten England in their match. Obviously getting my football/cricket rules mixed up Australia were trying to win the game against Sri Lanka within a specific number of overs to get ahead of New Zealand on run rate. They failed in that attempt but with only a few wickets left and plenty of overs they still nearly won the match.

Although I was grateful we got some cricket yesterday and what we got was exciting stuff I thought we threw away the win. To be fair to India though I reckon they would have beaten us in a 50 over match.

Yep, it's not often Ireland qualify for the World Cup, though a bit disappointing to see the Netherlands get a 6 off the very last ball to draw.

Is there some series starting today? I think it's involving one of the teams we beat in the last WC...:wink:
