    18 April -Cowm Reservoir Race

The 24th Annual Colin Robinson Cowm Reservoir Race

Anyone doing this? Judging from the fastest runners last year, navigational and wall jumping skills may be required.

Pictures from last year entry details for this year

I hope to be there. Not done the race since 2000. Is it still a lap round the reservoir then a bigger lap?

Yes, probably, Andy O'Sullivan will tell us the lap order at the start.

Parking, start and finish are on Cowm Park Way South and its a good 5-10 min to registration at the pub, so leave plenty of time to get to and from registration. There is load of parking space there.

Wajib Ali must be worth a bet for this one.

Is it 24th Annual (above), or 23rd Annual (website)? It might be important....

I think its the 24th and the 23rd is a typo from last years forms not being updated.

The profile is here, although the start and end point are different so the positioning of the hills will be slightly different. Its not very hilly, about 400ft ascent.

I would recommend trail shoes or flats, definitely not fell shoes as there is a road part and the low ground is quite hard trails. Its slippy on the wet ascent and quite trippy through the quarry so be careful.

I did this race in twice in 2000 (April and August) so that might be what has cause the confusion.

Spotted a few forumites tonight - Roger Rabbit (Trying to look cool chatting up a chick on the start line), parky, Pudgy and NotOnUrHelly. Anyone else there?
