Even better - second lady prize! Josefa ran the legs off me.
The girl in the third was also called Heather though.

Yes I remember, was Josefa the girl from rochdale. You ran together until about the end of the first lap. Then she left you, I think I came somewhere in between. There was no way I could catch her.

That last hill did me in. Need to get my climbing muscles working again.

Great turn out, especially from Rossendale and Rochdale.

Wajib won (by a significant margin I think, I was way back as usual) and Josefa was first lady, so double first for the mighty Dale. I think Rob Jackson was 2nd. Heather seems to have the edge over Josefa on shorter distances and Josefa on longer, so at 4.1 miles it was going to be close.

Matt Proctor had a cracking race, his first year as a senior and finished 4th overall after being 2nd for quite a way. Also there was Sparth, Notlob, Widdy (who was well pleased to finish ahead of Josefa). Stainers had a terrific run too.

Hope to get a few picccies up later (Matts mom took some).

I wish I'd been able to do this race. It is my training area nowadays but my running's been disrupted by illness over the past month. Good to see Wajib running well and I hope he comes and wins some fell races again.

Chris.... Waj is currently working and living most of the week in Ambleside. Once he's settled in and started training on the Lakeland fells I reckon he'll fly.
