    Lancs Boxing Day run?

if at all possible, I'm going to get out for a Boxing Day morning run in the Winter Hill / Rivington Pike / Belmont area ... probably a 10-12 miler, maybe bit more.

Not massively knowledgeable of routes round there so any suggestions welcome - I seem to remember getting some good tips on a similar post a bit back, I'll go and have a look.

Would love to, but dropping the kids off at their dad's.

I'm keen for a run out, I'd have to clear it with the Nrs first.

P.s. Used to post as Graeme, so am not a complete rookie.
Is Belmont the easiest place for you to get to? Most of the routes I know go from the Top Barn, but they can be tailored to suit I guess.

Graeme, I can start from anywhere really - but Clayton-le-Woods is where I'll be coming from. I've normally started at White Coppice before but I don't mind.

I'll just have to make sure I get my mum's car back in time for her to get to the bookies for her boxing day bet

That's a radical re-branding Graeme78 Do you work with Alastair Campbell by any chance?

Why not stick with the original?

if we get weather like it's been down here the last couple of days, it'll be spectacular

Sadly no, I work for the nhs. I de-registered a while back, but then re-registered when I realised it was easier to use the search function for race info as a registered member.

Looking forward to Saturday, I'll have to take it easy on Christmas day or it'll be a very very slow run. Forecast looks good all week, can't wait.

Oh yeah you'll have to stop to let me take pictures

OK Graeme well maybe we should settle on a starting point, time and a rough route?
