What good natural fibre gear?

Hello,
This is my first post.
I'm wanting to have a bash at fell running.
I've just bought a pair of leather Walsh shoes.
I've an aversion to synthetic fabrics.
Can anyone recommend decent natural fibre clothing?
In particular a good jacket for the winter?
Other garment recommendations would also be appreciated.

Struggling to think of a decent running jacket in natural fibres. Ventile woven cotton or Epic treated cotton as used by Alpkit and Howies would be obvious choice but not sure if any running specific kit is available in these fabrics

Sounds a bit cold that. I'd want more than one hair. It's snowing you know.

Merino wool tops are excellent, and I think you can get merino thermal tights which are close woven enough to run in. I think you'd have to go for synthetic jacket, unless you want a huge weight and/or performance handicap though.

Mark: in terms of base layers, apart from wool as mentioned, I know you can get ones made out of silk and even bamboo, both of which I've heard are quite effective.

PS: 'silkbody' is one name I think - a kiwi company

Just had a Silkbody base layer on review and it is excellent... bit pricey though. Think I'll be sticking to Merino (IceBreaker). Agree about Merino Buff, top piece of kit.
